Teacher Training—Level 1
Our Level 1 Teacher Training and Yoga Enrichment program offers you 335 hours of professional training for those seeking to become Hatha yoga teachers. This program is also an opportunity for personal transformation through an enrichment of your yoga experience. Although intended for those with an interest in teaching yoga, students searching for a structured deepening of their practice may find this course interesting. You will learn a methodology of practice that will encourage present moment mindfulness as well as self-discovery and creativity. At Four Directions Yoga Studio we emphasize a challenging yet safe method of practicing yoga. We draw our inspiration from the Anapanasati Sutra on Mindfulness to practice awareness and a deeper understanding between the mind and the body. In this teaching, the Buddha instructs us that spiritual growth, deep healing, and wisdom are only possible when we stay mindful of the body. We encourage students and teacher trainees to explore the postures and breathing practices for themselves and to reflect on what they experience as valuable. We explore the meditation practice and explore how this contributes to our understanding of society and social change.
Single workshops in this program are open to certified yoga teachers from Four Directions Yoga and from other studios as well. If you are a certified yoga teacher and interested in attending workshop you will need to apply. Payment for certified yoga teachers is $ 300 for workshop.
This program is registered with the Yoga Alliance for 200 hours training.
